During my project I served as a social media manager for the Program on the Environment at the University of Washington. I managed the program’s social media for 3 months analyzing college student engagement across media platforms and created a 34 page social media engagement guidebook, evaluating effective and ineffective practices for future use in the program. To find quantitative answers to my research questions I conducted an 11 question survey pertaining to my research questions and received 54 responses. Feedback from the responses showed college students distrusted environmental news on social media, and I explored the reasoning behind the results.
