Through my experience at the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), I learned about the underlying philosophies guiding environmental stewardship and sustainability in federal offices and for-profit businesses. My projects consisted of working with both public and private sectors. I wrote policy for office meetings and assisted a campaign to increase behavioral awareness in order to reduce the environmental impact of internal EPA office practices. I also organized a workshop for grocery stores on food waste recovery. I then made recommendations for strategies to influence environmental stewardship by targeting the specific motivations behind federal offices and for-profit businesses.
