For my capstone, I worked with Washington Sea Grant on a program that is focusing on eradicating a non-native, invasive crab species. My goal was to help the organization expand their outreach program with a focus on obtaining volunteers. One of the ways I did that was by developing a list of targeted stakeholders who would then be sought out to for possible interest. In relation, I did research on what different forms of outreach are commonly used in projects that have already been established. I found that forms of electronic outreach were regularly used which complimented my work at WSG.
