Lead is a highly toxic metal that causes substantial harm for humans, so for my project, I created a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) to help aid inspections
in locating lead hotspots. Since the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Region 10 does not have any sort of standard procedure, the development of an SOP could help increase the effectiveness and frequency of lead inspections to assist more people within the region. This SOP could also be used by State agencies in the EPA Region 10 to create more useful and effective lead programs.
