Winter quarter community drinks this Thursday!
Nothing says Happy New Year like sharing a pint with an “auld acquaintance”. So come kick start your new year with the PoE Community at our quarterly PoE Community Drinks event at Urban Family Public House in Ballard (now open to all ages) on January 17th from 6:30pm to 9:00pm.

Journalist and senior environmental reporter, Glen Martin will discuss his book, Game Changer: Animal Rights and the Fate of Africa’s Wildlife, on Thursday, January 17 from 3:00-5:00 p.m. in the Smith Room (room 324) of Suzzallo Library.

This spring, Harvard University is offering a free online course to students called Human Health and Global Environmental Change. Students do no receive credit for the course, but it is nonetheless an excellent resource and path to more knowledge.

Attention all UW undergraduates! The Freshman Interest Group (FIG) and Transfer Interest Group (TrIG) program is looking for outstanding UW undergraduates to serve as FIG/TrIG Leaders for autumn 2013.
Students from all departments who are UW-Seattle undergraduates with strong organizational skills, and an interest in working with freshmen are encouraged to apply.
