UW Farm Annual Plant Sale Fundraiser and Festival

Help support the UW Farm and Student Dirty Dozen Farm Club on May 20th by visiting our our annual Plant Sale. 

The Program on the Environment will host the Spring 2023 Capstone Symposium on Wednesday, May 24, online AND on Wednesday, May 31, in person at the UW School of Aquatic Fisheries & Sciences.  

 
The prestigious 2023 College of the Environment Dean’s Medalist award goes to our Program on the Environment student, Lillian Williamson, a double-major in Environmental Studies and Political Science. Lillian’s extraordinary academic and civic accomplishments include being named a Rhodes Scholarship finalist, a Mitchell scholarship semi-finalist, a Husky 100 student, and now, the Dean’s Medalist 2023 award!

Come join the College of the Environment for an afternoon of games, food, and merriment to celebrate an outstanding College community! All College faculty, staff, students, postdocs, and their guests are invited to attend.

The Husky 100 recognizes the achievements of both undergraduate and graduate students from across the three UW campuses. Students are recognized for their unique contributions to the UW campus community both inside and outside of the classroom. 

Spend 9 days (July 8 to 16) backpacking in Olympic National Park this Summer as part of the course, Wilderness in the Anthropocene (ENVIR 380)!
This 5-credit A term course includes hands on activities and remote assignments.

Check out this new Special Topic Course ENVIR 295 B: Rivers in the Environmental Humanities. This 5 credit course will run during A- Term (June 20 – July 19) and only has 20 spots available, so register soon!

Anya Gavrylko, Environmental Community Legacy Scholarship
Anya is an Environmental Studies and Community, Environmental & Planning double major graduating in the spring of 2023. She is from Chicago, Illinois, and is currently working as a research assistant on a project monitoring bird-collisions on campus to bring more bird safe architectural design-based solutions to the University of Washington.
