In addition to T/TH class session, students MUST also attend 6 “Future of Ice” evening lectures that meet on various dates (see schedule below). 

Join the PoE Community by experiencing the outdoors in the form of going for a run.  All levels are welcome and everyone is encouraged to participate.  This group will meet every Tuesday night at 5:15 and will continue until there is no longer interest in the group!   

Cascadia Consulting Group seeks individuals who would like to be part of Cascadia’s on-call roster of fieldworkers who will support our research and outreach projects. Fieldwork occurs occasionally throughout the year, may have flexible hours, or may have designated hours including weekends and evenings, and typically involves short but intensive periods of work. 

The UW Campus Sustainabiltiy Fund (CSF) is looking for an Outreach and Design Intern. We are hoping to find an undergrad with some design experience and a passion for sustainability. The internship is unpaid, roughly 4-8 hrs/week, but will give the student a strong introduction into the Campus Sustainability Fund should they chose to be further involved with the fund. 

The UW Pipeline Project is sending groups of students to rural and tribal communities throughout Washington State during spring break 2014 to facilitate hands-on environmental education projects. Teams will plan, design, and teach your own curriculum to young students whose educational experiences and opportunities are limited simply because of where they live. 

The Barry M. Goldwater Scholarship was created to encourage outstanding students to pursue careers in mathematics, the natural sciences and engineering.   The awards will be distributed on the basis of merit.
