Be a volunteer judge for the 16th annual Orca Bowl Competition!
Orca Bowl is one of 25 regional components of the National Ocean Sciences Bowl (NOSB). Its Washington’s regional marine sciences bowl competition for high school students.
Come to the first book club meeting of the quart this Friday at 1:30 in the PoE commons! Regular meeting times will be determined at the first meeting.
This quarter’s first book is Gus Speth’s ’The Bridge At the End of the World: Capitalism, the Environment, and Crossing from Crisis to Sustainability’.
Attention all UW undergraduates! The Freshman Interest Group (FIG) and Transfer Interest Group (TrIG) program is looking for outstanding UW undergraduates to serve as FIG/TrIG Leaders for autumn 2013.
Students from all departments who are UW-Seattle undergraduates with strong organizational skills, and an interest in working with freshmen are encouraged to apply.

Details: The Polliwog Preschool and the Mercer Slough Environmental Education Center are part of a collaboration with the Pacific Science Center.
[scholarship]: Mary Gates Endowment for Students
The Mary Gates Endowment for Students is currently accepting scholarship applications. Mary Gates scholarships provide $4,000 ($2,000 per quarter for two quarters) for students to pursue leadership or research projects. These scholarships benefit students in the current academic year, and are open to all UW undergraduate students regardless of class year, major or residency status.
