This summer the PoE’s Tim Billo led students on a 9 day backpacking trip in the northeast corner of Olympia National Park. See the student blogs and reflections here. 

We invite you to participate—as either an enrolled student or a guest—in the inaugural sessions of a quarterly, one-credit UW Program on the Environment seminar that will run Autumn, Winter and Spring quarters in coming years.  

Environmental Studies major Angie Lai featured in the Husky 100 for 2021. The Husky 100 recognizes 100 UW undergraduate and graduate students who are making the most of their time at the UW. 

The Program on the Environment will host the Spring 2021 Capstone Symposium on Wednesday, May 26, online.  All are welcome to attend and support students as they present on the culmination of their hard work over three quarters.

Everyone is welcome to attend one or more of the Capstone Conversations (CapCon) scheduled during the week of April 12-16. During these sessions capstone students host small group discussions to share about their experience. 

The PoE Alumni Council (PAC) is proud to support environmental studies students by providing a $500 scholarship to help in the advancement of their academic endeavors. This is an opportunity to showcase what motivated you to pursue a degree in environmental studies. 

Explore environmental, social, and economic impacts of the human relationship with clothing and fashion through the perspective of a diverse group of professionals working in academia, advocacy, arts, business, and science.
