The SER-UW Native Plant Nursery is excited to announce we are now accepting applications for our Spring 2024 Nursery Internship! Every quarter, our nursery hosts UW student interns of a variety of different backgrounds and experience levels. 

A full-time summer position at Redox Tech will play a crucial role in supporting an upcoming environmental field project near Silverdale, WA.  The position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in groundwater remediation, particularly in bioremediation.

The West Coast Region of NOAA Fisheries is advertising up to eight Student Trainee Biological Sciences (ZT-499-2) positions in the West Coast Region. These are Pathways summer intern positions in the Regional Administrator Office, Protected Resources Division and Sustainable Fisheries Division. 

Join us on Wednesday, 2/28 from 12 – 1:30PM in the Wallace Hall Commons and enjoy a delicious catered lunch while connecting with fellow Environmental Studies students and faculty! All ENVIR students are welcome and encouraged to stop by for any (or all) time during the lunch window. 

UW Recycling is now accepting entries for their 2024 Trash Art contest! Submissions are due by March 22nd at 4PM, and participants can submit entries into a variety of categories. Artwork should be themed around feelings or ideas of waste and sustainability.

Come join Washington Sea Grant’s Crab Team’s annual bonanza to cut, weigh, and bag all 1000lb of mackerel to be used across the green crab monitoring network in 2024. It can get a bit messy, but there are various jobs to choose from (some less messy than others), along with good music and even better company.
