Green Greeks is an environmental advocacy RSO on the UW campus. Their mission is to foster a positive and collaborative environment dedicated to promoting sustainable action in the community through student-led consulting, leadership, and events. 

The Elisabeth C. Miller Library, part of the UW Botanic Gardens and located at the Center for Urban Horticulture on the traditional home of the Coast Salish people, seeks to commission a local artist to install a mural in its community program room. 

The Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) is offering scholarships to attend the 2024 SFI Annual Conference. We invite you to join us for the 2024 SFI Annual Conference in Atlanta, Georgia, June 4-6, 2024, as we celebrate Forests for the Future!  

Environmental Science Associates, a west coast environmental consulting firm, is hosting their annual Job Shadow Day on Wednesday, April 17th. This is a great opportunity to learn what a day in the life looks like for someone in the industry, and make networking connections with professionals ranging from technical to professional roles. 

Join us on Wednesday, 2/28 from 12 – 1:30PM in the Wallace Hall Commons and enjoy a delicious catered lunch while connecting with fellow Environmental Studies students and faculty! All ENVIR students are welcome and encouraged to stop by for any (or all) time during the lunch window. 

UW Recycling is now accepting entries for their 2024 Trash Art contest! Submissions are due by March 22nd at 4PM, and participants can submit entries into a variety of categories. Artwork should be themed around feelings or ideas of waste and sustainability. 

 
Come join Washington Sea Grant’s Crab Team’s annual bonanza to cut, weigh, and bag all 1000lb of mackerel to be used across the green crab monitoring network in 2024. It can get a bit messy, but there are various jobs to choose from (some less messy than others), along with good music and even better company. 

The Program on the Environment (PoE) is launching the search for their next director, and is seeking input from the program’s campus-wide community in the process. We are hoping that you can support our search by providing feedback in one of two ways: attend a virtual open house, and/or complete this short survey.
